This 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa is a Euro-market example finished in red with a removable black roof panel over a black interior and here comes the kicker; it is powered by an LS1 V8 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Additional features include an Alpine CD stereo, power windows, Fuchs alloy wheels, and a paint-matched “tea tray” rear spoiler housing the radiator with an electric fan. We just performed engine oil and filter change, coolant flush and a brand new stage 2 Kevlar clutch! This 911 Targa shows 113k miles and has a clean Carfax report, and a clean title.
The exterior is equipped with European-market bumperettes and H4 headlights. A “tea tray” rear spoiler with a custom cutout for the coolant filler has been added, and additional features include a black targa bar, a removable roof panel, and front fog lamps.
The 16” Fuchs alloy wheels feature black centers with polished lips. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs.
The GM LS1 V8 swap features a Renegade Hybrids bolt-in cradle and a K&N short-ram intake. Electric fan is fitted in rear seat area and radiator is fitted in the spoiler. Total of 21 pounds of weight have been saved with the engine swap!
This very healthy example of LS1 V8 sure puts down lots of power with dyno results shows 361whp which is 421hp at the crank; making this classic 911 one fun ride! With more than double the horsepower from stock 1984 Carrera our 911 is at completely different level when it comes to performance! |
